Kolbe – Minnesota

This is my first time in Medjugorje. I learned about it first from my mom. She loves Medjugorje, and she’s been here a few times. She loves all the books and everything. Growing up she would read to me at night the stories of the kids. That was really cool. I liked hearing about the secrets.

I first heard about it when I was a kid.

I thought it could be really cool so we all planned a trip.

I love the community. It’s been so fun being around the people and seeing how much they care. Faith is not the most celebrated thing. Being here and being around people who want nothing more than to talk about their faith is really cool.

I’ve learned a lot. I heard a lot of testimonies from people and their experiences.

I learned about our place in the world and the plan we all have, the plan for ourselves that we make and the plan that God knows is the best one and how we get those mixed up sometimes.

It was amazing hearing about the visionaries and the fact that they were able to give their lives to something that God wanted.

I’ll bring back with me the experience and the feeling of not being so afraid to live the faith.

I’m 20. I’m in college. I have a plan for my life, but I also have the fear that it won’t go according to plan. What I’ll bring back with me is the idea that I don’t need to be terrified that everything won’t go according to plan.

I find it best in life to just experience things. If you’re skeptical of things, try it out. Go on an adventure and see it for yourself. You don’t have to believe what everyone says. You can experience things. If you’re scared, just jump in.
